Donald Trump could announce his intention to run for president in 2024 on Tuesday, Nov. 15. This is not the first time he has hinted at this decision. It appears that the official announcement will come in just one week, as he teased Monday during a rally in Ohio:

Trump arrived in Dayton, Ohio on his 'Trump Force One' jet and held a rally after disembarking the plane. It was at the end of this event when he unveiled that he will be making a "big announcement" next Tuesday:

Two years ago we were a great nation, and we will be a great nation again. Not to detract from tomorrow's very important even critical election… I'm going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.

Support for Republican candidates

Trump did not want his statement to downplay the importance of Republican politicians running in the midterms. Therefore, the press conference began with the former president reading a list of Republican candidates that voters could choose during this election, among whom he mentioned Ron DeSantis, and reiterated his support for Ohio Republican Governor Mike DeWine, Lieutenant Governor John Husted and Senate candidate J. D. Vance. In fact, per Newsmax, he joked with Vance that recent polls made the rally unnecessary:

Tomorrow the great people of Ohio are going to send J. D. Vance to the United States Senate. J. D. you have some very good polls today: What the hell am I doing here? Good night, everybody. We can make this one real short, J. D., would you like to just do it for a quickie, or do you want to through the whole deal?

Trump didn't just send his support to candidates in Ohio. He also alluded to other Republican candidates essential to regaining majority in Congress:

This is the year we are going to take back the House; we're going to take back the Senate; we're going to take back America — and in 2024, we're going to take back that magnificent White House.
