White House accused of ordering Facebook censorship of Tucker Carlson for saying "vaccines didn't work"
The Louisiana attorney general released a document containing alleged pressure from the Oval Office on the social network to block the anchor.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry released a document in which he pointed to pressure from the White House on Facebook to censor Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Carlson said the "vaccines" against the coronavirus "didn't work," hence the Oval Office allegedly told Facebook to censor the reputable presenter.
Landry's filing includes an email request from White House Digital Strategy Director Rob Flaherty to an unidentified employee of Mark Zuckerberg's company:
In addition, Flaherty wrote in the same email:
FBI censorship
Mark Zuckerberg went so far as to acknowledge in an interview with Joe Rogan the FBI's efforts to censor content on his social network:
Mark Zuckerberg added, "If the FBI... they come to us and tell us that we need to be on guard about something, then I want to take that seriously."
Then, Joe Rogan asked him, "Did they specifically say that you about guard about that story?" he says in reference to Hunter Biden's laptop. The businessman says he does not recall whether they referred to this particular matter, but he does say that the issue "fits the pattern" of what the FBI had told them.
