A group of non-profit investigators looking into the Hunter Biden laptop case have documented 459 alleged state and federal crimes that may have been committed by Joe Biden's son and his associates. After a year of investigation, they found alleged crimes such as prostitution and fraudulent business activities.
This watchdog is called Marco Polo and was created by former Donald Trump advisor Garret Ziegler specifically for the Hunter Biden laptop case. Marco Polo published a 644-page report detailing the more than 400 alleged crimes, including dates, locations, people involved in the alleged crimes and relevant statutes.
With this report, Marco Polo gives prosecutors tools to guide them in bringing charges against the president's son. A Delaware prosecutor is already considering filing charges against Hunter Biden for these alleged offenses.
The Republican Party asked to publish the case documentation in September. Ziegler explained to the Daily Wire that he wrote and published this report in order to get the Republican Party to act more aggressively on this case:
The focus of the report is on crimes … I had a compulsion to log every crime, even the state-level statutes. The mission is simple: Hold Republicans’ feet to the fire. We don’t want to hear that Republicans need another year to do an investigation. I’ve done that here.
Criticism of the authorities and the media
The Marco Polo group of investigators pointed to the FBI's "dereliction of duty" and the media and analysts' laxity in publicizing the Hunter Biden laptop case:
This Report would not have been necessary if law enforcement had done its job. Dereliction of duty is nothing new for the FBI, as its government-sponsored cover-up occurred with Anthony Weiner's devices. Additionally, besides a few notable exceptions, news outlets and think tanks in America have been unwilling to investigate and expose the hundreds of crimes and conflicts of interest on the Biden Laptop which — as you will read — definitively implicate the sitting president, Joe Biden.
Millionaire payments from Russia
The Daily Mail published emails revealing a $40 million payment from Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina to Hunter Biden's real estate firm Rosemont Realty. Baturina, who is the widow of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, invested this amount of money in 2012, when Joe Biden's son's company had a plan to invest $70 million in 2.15 million square feet of office space in seven U.S. cities.
The documents reflect that this money came from several investors, with Inteco Management AG, owned by Baturina, making the largest investment (the 40 million representing more than 50% of the capital). Inteco Group is a plastics giant and Yelena Baturina was the richest woman in Russia at the time. According to Forbes, her current net worth is $1.4 billion.
