Hitler Mussolini Simeon Flores, 45, won the municipal election in the district of Queropalca, Peru, where he received 34.5% of the vote, with 229 ballots in his favor. The candidate from the left-wing Ahora Nación party will be the new mayor of this town in the province of Lauricocha, in the department of Huánuco, north of Lima.

According to results cited by the newspaper ABC, Simeon Flores defeated Gaspar Benilde Osorio Zambrano, the candidate for Renovación Popular Perú, who received 204 votes, equivalent to 30.8%. In total, 663 votes were cast in the mayoral election for this district.

A native of Queropalca, Simeon Flores also serves as manager of the investment group Simeon SAC, located in Pillco Marca, in the department of Huánuco.

His name has drawn attention due to the combination of the last names of two of the leading dictators in 20th-century European history: Adolf Hitler, leader of Nazi Germany, and Benito Mussolini, Italy's fascist dictator.
