Two strong earthquakes shake Costa Rica; No casualties reported

A 5.4-magnitude earthquake, followed by a strong aftershock, shook the central region of Costa Rica, where the capital San José is located, causing fear among the population, though no casualties or property damage have been reported so far, AFP reported.
The quake occurred at 1:37 a.m. local time (7:37 a.m. GMT) with its epicenter located in the town of Coronado, northeast of San José, at a depth of only 7 km, which is why it was felt so strongly, according to reports from the National Seismological Network.
