Delcy Rodriguez's regime will deliver up to 50 million barrels of sanctioned oil to the U.S.

The president Donald Trump announced this Tuesday, through his official Truth Social account, that the dictatorship of Delcy Rodríguez will deliver to the United States between 30 and 50 million barrels of sanctioned oil, detailing that the money that will be obtained from its sale will be used to "benefit" both Venezuelans and Americans. Likewise, the president highlighted in his statement that he ordered the Energy Secretary, Chris Wright, to execute this plan as soon as possible, and detailed that such oil would be transported to unloading ports in the United States through storage vessels.

"I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America. This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States! I have asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to execute this plan, immediately. It will be taken by storage ships, and brought directly to unloading docks in the United States. Trump's announcement comes three days after the US Army entered Venezuelan territory to bombard military bases in three cities (Caracas, La Guaira and Maracay) and capture both dictator Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who were transferred to the United States, where they are currently behind bars awaiting trial on various drug trafficking charges. Shortly thereafter, the Republican president announced in a press conference that it would be Vice-President Rodriguez who would momentarily take the reins in Venezuela, detailing that she will set in motion a political transition in which she will have to take the steps ordered by Washington.

Instability and paranoia in the Rodriguez regime

So far, the Rodriguez regime has been immersed in different situations that manifest an important instability and paranoia that Maduro's replacement does not seem to be knowing how to control. In addition to the internal cracks that exist in the bowels of Chavismo, an important episode that evidences this reality was the shooting that took place in the vicinity of the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, after both the security forces of the regime and members of the armed colectivos fired rampantly after the appearance of a series of drones that flew over the city during the night hours.

Believing that it was a second attack by the United States, both groups began firing uncontrollably, plunging part of the capital city into a sea of bullets and uncertainty that lasted between 10 and 20 minutes, until they realized that it was all a mistake.
