Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will join Fox News Channel as an on-air contributor after leaving her position during Donald Trump's second administration. The network reported that Leavitt will begin appearing on its programs starting Nov. 1.

According to Fox News, Leavitt, 29, will provide commentary and analysis across various programs on the network. The hiring was announced Monday by Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media, who highlighted Leavitt's experience at the White House and on the presidential campaign.

"Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape. We look forward to her providing our audience with authentic and sharp insight across all FOX News Media platforms," Scott said.

Leavitt said she was grateful for the opportunity to continue appearing on Fox News, now as an official member of the Fox News Media team.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to continue appearing on Fox News Channel as an official member of the extraordinary team at FOX News Media. I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House press secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms," she said.

Leavitt was the 36th White House press secretary during the second Trump administration and held the position from January 2025 to August 2026.

Before joining the White House, she worked as a spokesperson for MAGA Inc., joined Trump's 2024 presidential campaign and subsequently became the youngest person to hold the position of White House press secretary.

During her tenure as the administration's chief spokesperson, Leavitt regularly appeared before White House-accredited reporters and addressed issues related to domestic and international policy.

Leavitt's departure from the White House

In August, she confirmed her departure from the White House in a lengthy post on X, in which she explained that she had made the "bittersweet" decision to leave her position after concluding that she could not balance the demands of her job as press secretary with being the mother she wants to be to her two young children.

Leavitt also served during the first Trump administration as a presidential speechwriter and press assistant. In 2022, she ran as a Republican candidate for Congress in New Hampshire's 1st District, her home state, and later served as communications director for then-chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, Rep. Elise Stefanik.
