Franke began working at Barstool in January. Similarly, according to specialized media such as TMZ Sports, Franke was in the Dominican Republic to attend a wedding.

Franke went viral in February after ForePlay shared a video in which he insisted on removing his hat before greeting someone with a handshake.

"Golf has always been home for me . . . it’s something I can go do. If you go to the golf course, it doesn’t really feel like work-work – I’m just at a place I’m really happy to be around. I’m home," Franke told PGA.com. "That’s what this has always been for me."
