President Donald Trump lashed out harshly against Fox News after the network began giving greater visibility and airtime to "Jihadist and Dumocrat [sic] candidates" than to himself ahead of the midterm elections.

"FoxNews spends more time covering the Jihadist and Dumocrat candidates than they do the good old fashioned Republicans, the people that have saved America, and are making it great again," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

"All they talk about is Dumocrat Jihadists like El-Sayed, with his softball interview by Martha MacCallum, and the like. She never interviews me like that. They don’t show my record breaking Rallies the morning after, but others do, and that’s what MAGA is watching," he added, while claiming that the network is "promoting" his opponents. "They have totally lost their way!"

In another post, Trump complained that Fox News interviewed Dan Osborn, a Senate candidate from Nebraska, on Tuesday. Although he is running as an independent, he has received the endorsement of the state's Democratic Party.

"Fox News is long form interviewing the sleazebag, Dan Osborn, right now, who is running against our GREAT Republican Senator, Pete Ricketts, from Nebraska. Why are they doing this??? The 'other side' doesn’t give our people any positive exposure or airtime," the president said.

These remarks come a day after it was announced that Karoline Leavitt, former White House press secretary and Trump ally, will join Fox News as a contributor starting November 1.
