Democrats show their radical side by sabotaging Trump's speech to Congress
The Democratic caucus received harsh criticism not only for interrupting the president's speech, but also for not applauding key, poignant moments of the address.

Al Green shouts and boos during Trump's speech
With hecklers, T-shirts, posters, and a host of controversial attitudes, Democrats showed their more radical side during President Donald Trump's lengthy speech to the joint session of Congress.
While most congressional Democrats booed and heckled President Trump when he claimed he received a popular mandate in the November elections, Representative Al Green (D-TX) stole all the cameras. Standing up and raising his cane, he agitatedly told the president, "You have no mandate."
In the first instance, Al Green was warned by House Speaker Mike Johnson, who asked him to calm down or else he would be sent out of the chamber.
The Democratic congressman continued to boo Trump in an uncontrolled manner until Johnson ordered him escorted out of the session.
"Finding that members continue to engage in willful and concerted disruption to proper decorum, the chair now directs the Sergeant at Arms to restore order," Johnson said. "Remove this gentleman from the chamber."

Upon being ousted, Congressman Al Green threatened to file articles of impeachmenta gainst President Trump, a symbolic move considering Republicans control both houses of Congress by a slight minority.
"I have other things I'm protesting. And I'm also working on my articles of impeachment. This president is unfit," a furious Al Green told the media.

However, Al Green was not the only Democrat to display controversial attitudes during President Trump's speech.
Further along in Trump's speech, when the president began talking about cutting prices, several Democratic lawmakers walked out of the chamber donning a black T-shirt with the word "Resist" on it. Throughout the night, Democrats also displayed posters to criticize Trump with the messages "Musk steals," "Liar," "Save Medicaid," "Protect veterans," among others.

The action sparked numerous criticisms on social networks.
"So far, Dems are coming across as unruly radicals at the Joint Address to Congress: first, the hippie-looking Congressman @RepAlGreen screaming like a madman and getting kicked out, and then Dem members wearing Leftist slogan “Resist” T-shirts walking out... Scary!" wrote VOZ political analyst Alfonso Aguilar.

While Democrats were expected to boo or remain silent by way of protest against the president, few imagined they would not applaud at any point, even remaining seated and reluctant to acknowledge at poignant moments, such as when Trump introduced a 13-year-old cancer survivor, young "D.J." Daniel, to receive an honorary Secret Service badge, fulfilling a dream he'd had since he was a child.
The unkind gesture by Democrats provoked harsh criticism on social media, including a message from former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer.
"If the Ds can’t clap for a beautiful 13-year-old boy who wants to become a cop, there’s something really wrong with them," he wrote in a post on X.

President Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., also added to the criticism: "If you can't stand up and cheer for a kid with brain cancer being made an honorary member of the Secret Service, then you might be a deeply disturbed and fucked up person."

In addition to not applauding "D.J." Daniel, Democrats also didn't applaud when President Trump announced the capture and extradition of terrorist Muhammed Sharifullah, responsible for the deaths of thirteen Americans at Abbey Gate, outside Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport, on August 26, 2021.
