Among its achievements is being the fourth highest-grossing feature film of the last 12 months, with revenues of $845 million, as well as being the fourth most-searched movie by Americans on Google in 2023. The film, released on May 5, 2023, tells the story of how Peter Quill, still recovering from the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), must once again lead this peculiar band to defend the galaxy while defending one of his own, and one of the most beloved characters, Rocket, whose origin story thrilled audiences.

Prime Video's 'Daisy Jones & The Six' is the fourth most-searched series in the U.S.
Literary adaptations are usually a safe bet for producers, and "Daisy Jones & The Six" is good proof of that. The series, produced and premiered by Amazon Prime Video on March 3, 2023, was the fourth most-Googled in the United States in 2023. The story narrates the rise and fall of a '70s musical band, Daisy Jones & The Six. Led by two singers with a lot of character, Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne, the group dissolves suddenly and unexpectedly. Ten years later, thanks to a documentary, the band members reunite to tell the whole truth.

'Everything Everywhere All At Once' rises as nation's fourth most-searched feature film
One of the big winners at the 2023 Oscars, "Everything Everywhere All at Once," released on March 25, 2022, was also the fourth most-searched feature film among U.S. netizens. The film, starring Michelle Yeoh and featuring appearances by Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan, follows Evelyn Wang, a Chinese immigrant who runs a laundromat and, in the midst of an IRS inspection that could put her business in jeopardy, discovers that she is one of many incarnations of the most important person in the entire multiverse. This causes several interdimensional travelers to try to take her down.

'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,' third most-searched series in the U.S.
The period drama series, "Bridgerton," based on the novels by Julia Quinn, began a popular saga for Netflix, which barely expected such a success. It was such a hit that the network decided to order a spin-off detailing one of the fan favorites, Queen Charlotte. The series also generated curiosity among the public, and it occupies the third place of the most-Googled series by Americans in 2023. "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story" tells the story of the monarch's childhood. Her younger self is played by India Amarteifio, with the show detailing her love story with King George III, played by Corey Mylchreest.

'Sound of Freedom' wins big, becomes the third most-Googled feature film in the nation
Eduardo Verastegui's feature film starring Jim Caviezel, "Sound of Freedom," was one of the most-talked-about films during the summer of 2023 and ranked third in the nation's most-Googled films over the past 12 months. The film, which tells the story of child trafficking in Latin American countries, has seen success throughout its box office run. It managed to gross over $100 million in just one month and became one of the few feature films to withstand the "Barbenheimer" boom. In addition, the film's arrival in the rest of the world also attracted a multitude of moviegoers to theaters, making it an international success.

The undisputed second place in this ranking, both internationally and in the United States, belongs to "Ginny & Georgia," a comedy that premiered its second season on Jan. 5, 2023. The fiction, which many compare to the classic "Gilmore Girls," again focuses on Ginny Miller, a 15-year-old girl who is more mature than her 30-year-old mother, Georgia. Both live in a New England town, where Georgia decided to move in with Ginny and her other son, Austin, in an attempt to provide them with the life she never had.

'Oppenheimer,' second most-searched film in the U.S.
Christopher Nolan returned after three years of absence in a big way with "Oppenheimer," the second highest-grossing film of 2023, bringing in more than $950 million dollars at the box office. It was also the second most-searched film both in the United States and worldwide. The biopic, starring Cillian Murphy, focuses on Dr. Robert Oppenheimer, the man who designed the atomic bomb and whom the movie follows both during the development of this nuclear weapon and in the days before and after its creation.

'The Last of Us,' first major release of the year and most-searched series on Google in 2023
One of the most anticipated series of 2023 did not take long to arrive, as HBO Max premiered it on Jan. 15 of this year. Starring Hispanic actor Pedro Pascal, the series was the platform's big bet, and it did not fail. It became, in just a few weeks, the second most-watched premiere on the platform in the last decade, trailing only "House of the Dragon.'" "The Last of Us," based on the video game of the same name, arrived on the streaming platform and quickly became one of the most-talked-about shows by viewers week after week. Therefore, it is not surprising that the show occupies the top spot both nationally and globally in terms of the most-searched series on Google in 2023. The adaptation places us in a post-apocalyptic world two decades after modern civilization is destroyed by a fungus, the Cordyceps unilateralis. Joel (Pedro Pascal) is a survivor who ends up caring for Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl who could be the key to ending the infection.

'Barbie' reigns supreme, becomes the most-Googled movie in 2023

The film, directed by Greta Gerwig, focuses on the popular Mattel doll. After starting to malfunction and not acting like the rest of the inhabitants in Barbieland, she decides to travel to the Real World looking for answers to her problem.
