Security plans for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games stolen
An official had a laptop and a pen drive stolen at a Paris train station that contained sensitive information about the sporting event.
French authorities reported that a laptop and pen drive were stolen at the Gare du Nord train station (Paris) that contained sensitive information about the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Specifically, the stolen material contained information about security protocols and plans for the sporting event.
The theft occurred this Monday when an official who was at the station had his devices stolen. As soon as he lost sight of his belongings, he went to the police station located inside the Gare de Nord to file a report. The police opened an investigation and are trying to locate the stolen laptop and pen drive.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the 33rd Summer Games, will begin on July 26 and end on August 11.
