The Pentagon confirms new military strikes on several Iranian terrorist facilities in Syria
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin reported the deaths of between six and seven Iran-associated terrorists at one of the sites.
The Pentagon confirmed this Sunday that it had carried out a new military attack on several Iranian terrorist facilities in Syria. As reported by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the operation was carried out on two buildings located in eastern Syria:
This operation, said Fox News journalist Jennifer Griffin, resulted in the death of between six and seven Iranian-linked terrorists who had been killed at one of the sites. Also reported by Griffin on his X account (formerly Twitter), the other facility saw up to "2 hours of secondary explosions." This, she explained, suggested that this location could be "a large weapons and ammo storage facility."
More than 40 attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria
This is the third attack that the US defense services have carried out against Iranian terrorists since the war between Israel and Hamas began. Since then, Axios reveals, the total number of offensives carried out by the Iranians on bases that the US Army has in Iraq and Syria is 41.
During these attacks, authorities said, up to 56 US personnel suffered a "combination of traumatic brain injury and other minor injuries." However, officials said, they have all returned to work.
