New details have come to light regarding the tragic death of actress Hayden Panettiere. Zach Hickerson, the brother of the actress' partner, Brian Hickerson, revealed to TMZ that Brian administered Narcan to the actress immediately after finding her unconscious at a rented residence in South Carolina.
According to Zach's account, the tragedy unfolded after he went to the property to meet up with the couple following a religious service. When he received no response to his calls and messages, he had his brother open the door and discovered that Panettiere was unresponsive.
A desperate attempt at resuscitation
In his statements to TMZ, Zach explained the sequence of events that took place at the home: "I immediately called 911, and Brian administered Narcan to her. Then we performed CPR together while 911 was on speakerphone until the firefighters and emergency personnel arrived."
The use of Narcan, a medication designed to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose immediately, confirms the presence of dangerous substances in the actress's immediate surroundings.
Police sources had already noted the presence of this drug at the scene, as well as references to a possible overdose incident in the emergency dispatch recordings.
The investigation into the actress' death remains open and involves the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), amid reports indicating that Panettiere was experiencing severe difficulties maintaining sobriety during her most recent professional engagements.
A call to curb public speculation
Zach Hickerson lamented the tragic event and called for caution in how the media handles the information. "There are many assumptions, speculations, and accusations circulating right now. The truth will come to light as authorities complete and release additional details of the investigation," he told TMZ.
The witness emphasized the need to respect the grief of those close to her and to put an end to sensationalism until official investigations conclude and accurately clarify the causes that led to the actress' death.
