USMNT beats Canada, closes out match window undefeated
Justin Ellis's lone goal helped the national team, coached by Mauricio Pochettino, secure four wins in four matches.

USMNT players celebrate a goal during this international window
The United States (USMNT) finished this match window unbeaten, with four wins in four matches played. The national team coached by Mauricio Pochettino, which called up a somewhat different roster for this series than the one that will compete in the 2026 World Cup in North America, defeated Canada by a narrow margin (1-0) at Allianz Field in Minnesota
"The players deserve the credit, not only for the result but for the way we competed; it's a good start," Pochettino said after the game. "We've played four games in two weeks and did so with the same commitment and the same passion—that's something we need to maintain."
"These players must continue to stay humble with their clubs; now it's about maintaining this level of commitment and continuing to improve every day," added the USMNT head coach.
Justin Ellis once again put on a show, just as he did in previous matches. The 19-year-old forward scored the only goal against the Canadians.
With this latest victory, the national team wraps up a perfect window, having previously defeated Peru (4-1), Chile (4-2), and Mexico (3-0). All of these were friendlies.
