MLB: Nine Hispanic players nominated for the Hank Aaron Award

Major League Baseball (MLB) announced the list of nominees for the Hank Aaron Award, given to the season's top offensive player, which includes nine Hispanic players.
The Cubans Yordan Alvarez (Houston Astros), Sal Stewart (Cincinnati Reds), Yandy Diaz (Tampa Bay Rays), Miguel Vargas (Chicago White Sox), and Randy Arozarena (Seattle Mariners) are among the nominees.
Also in the running for the award are Dominicans Junior Caminero (Rays), Elly de la Cruz (Reds), and Fernando Tatis Jr. (San Diego Padres) are also in the running for the award, as is Venezuelan Willson Contreras (Boston Red Sox).
The list of nominees also includes Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers), Ben Rice (New York Yankees), Pete Alonso (Baltimore Orioles), and Jake Bauers (Milwaukee Brewers), among others.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday, November 11, at the MLB Awards Gala, as announced by the league in a press release.
