Braves shut out Dodgers; Chourio shines again as the hero for Milwaukee
Atlanta evened the series in Los Angeles before the games in Georgia began, while the Brewers once again rallied from a two-run deficit and left San Diego on the brink of elimination.

Jackson Chourio during a game
The Atlanta Braves neutralized the powerful offense of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday to win 3-2 and tie their National League division series at 1-1. Meanwhile, Venezuelan Jackson Chourio was once again instrumental in another Milwaukee comeback against San Diego.
A solid team effort by the Atlanta pitchers laid the groundwork for a crucial victory at Dodger Stadium, which left the best-of-five series wide open ahead of Game 3, scheduled for Tuesday in Georgia.
The Dodgers, the reigning two-time World Series champions and seeking a third consecutive title, were hampered by a lackluster performance from their starter Blake Snell and a lack of offensive production at key moments.
The Los Angeles team went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and squandered the opportunity to move within one win of the Championship Series. Relievers Robert Suárez and Didier Fuentes sealed the Braves' victory with some flawless work in the final innings.
Catcher Drake Baldwin especially praised the performance of Fuentes, 21, who was one out away from pitching four perfect innings. "He was very composed," Baldwin said. "That says a lot about him: he's been doing this for us all year, and you saw it tonight. We have a lot of confidence in him, and he went out there and proved it."
Chourio, decisive once again
Earlier, Chourio hit a two-run single with the bases loaded in the ninth inning to give the Brewers a 4-3 victory over the Padres and a 2-0 lead in the series. For the second consecutive game, Milwaukee rallied from a two-run deficit and left San Diego on the brink of elimination before the series moves to California.
"I have no words for this," Chourio told Fox Sports after the game-winning hit off closer Mason Miller. "I was just looking for a good pitch to hit at that moment, and, you know, luckily he threw me one I could do something with."
The Venezuelan had already been the star of the first game with a two-run home run that sparked another Milwaukee comeback. Despite committing three errors, the Brewers found a way to bounce back once again against a Padres team that squandered several opportunities to extend its lead.
"We're a team that doesn't back down"
San Diego took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and capitalized on Milwaukee's defensive struggles to stretch the lead to 2-0 in the fifth inning. The Brewers responded with a double by Christian Yelich and an RBI single by Sal Frelick to stay in the game.
The Padres retook a two-run lead in the seventh inning, but Milwaukee responded immediately and ultimately completed the comeback in the ninth.
"We're a team that never backs down," said Chourio. "We're never going to shy away from a challenge, and we thrive on these moments. We're going to keep moving forward and fight for every opportunity that comes our way."
