With a decisive 5–1 win, the Florida Panthers defended their NHL title on Tuesday, once again defeating the Canadian Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Florida Panthers claimed victory in the Stanley Cup Final, winning the series 4–2.
Canadian Sam Reinhart crushed the Oilers’ hopes by scoring four of the Panthers’ five goals, as goalie Sergei Bobrovsky sealed the victory with 28 saves.
The Panthers, who claimed their first-ever title last year—also against the Oilers in a 4–3 series—have become the first team to win back-to-back Stanley Cups since Tampa Bay in 2021.
With Edmonton’s loss, Canada’s NHL title drought continues, which dates back to the Montreal Canadiens’ victory in 1993.
