French authorities search Paris 2024 Organizing Committee headquarters for possible corruption case

This raid came after several workers building new infrastructure sued the committee for employing them in an unregulated manner.

The headquarters of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games organizing committee was searched by French police due to a possible corruption case.

This raid came after word got out that some workers who are building new infrastructure decided to sue the committee for not regulating their schedules and for not respecting their working hours, French radio France Info reported.

This morning, agents from the Central Office for the Fight against Corruption and Financial and Tax Offenses (OCLCIFF) and the financial brigade of the Paris judicial police raided the building. "A search is currently underway at the headquarters of the Organizing Committee. Paris 2024 is in full collaboration with the researchers," explained the Organizing Committee.

Paris will host the 2024 Olympic Games, which will be held between July 26 and August 11 next year in the French capital.
