Simply thrilling. The Kansas City Chiefs were crowned Super Bowl LVII champions after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 on a Harrison Butkler field goal with eight seconds left. It was the perfect end to a historic day with Patrick Mahomes' performance as quarterback.

Limited by an ankle injury, Pat Mahomes, who won his second MVP trophy, was able to lead the comeback in the second half of the game played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Now, Mahomes can sit at the table of great quarterbacks, after winning his second title with the franchise and tying legends like John Elway and Peyton Manning. At only 27 years of age, he is a major contender to go after recently retired Tom Brady’s record of seven Super Bowl titles.

Jalen Hurts, on the other hand, seemed like he would lead the Eagles to victory. They were well on their way after having won the first half 24-14 while Mahomes retreated to the locker room in pain after injuring his right ankle.

Hurts dominated the historic game with Mahomes by a wide margin. This Super Bowl will go down in history not only for having the youngest pair of quarterbacks face off in a championship game, but it is also the first time two African-American quarterbacks go head to head in the NFL's grand finale.

It is the Kansas City Chiefs third Super Bowl title. They won in 1969 and later in 2019 with Patrick Mahomes as quarterback.
