New York: Renowned gourmet hamburger chain to close locations after filing for bankruptcy
The restaurants of the renowned gourmet burger chain BurgerFi in Latham and Saratoga Springs will close permanently.
Well-known gourmet burger chain BurgerFi's restaurants in Latham and Saratoga Springs, N.Y., will close permanently. According to local media, the last day of service will be Dec. 1.
The announcement came after about a month after BurgerFi International Inc. filed for bankruptcy.
"The franchise restaurant locations, owned by Bill, Michael, and Vincent Lia, had been open for a decade. The franchisees recently chose not to renew their franchise agreements following difficulties the national brand was facing," wrote News10, which first broke the news.
In that regard, the owners explained that they will explore new opportunities for the land and that they hope their next projects will be of benefit to the community.
"We’re grateful to our loyal customers and dedicated team members who have supported us over the years ... Heir patronage and hard work have been essential to our journey. While we’re saying goodbye to BurgerFi, we look forward to exploring new possibilities for these two great locations," highlighted Bill Lia.
