After this, Gail had a small role on "Beverly Hills 90210" in 1991 and 1994. There he played Stuart Carlson, the boyfriend of Brenda Walsh (who was played by actress Shannen Doherty), for a total of eight episodes. It was the beginning of a career that continued with important roles in the television series "Robin's Hoods" (1994-1995) and "Savannah" (1996-1997). His first leading role came with the fiction "Port Charles," where he played Dr. Joe Scanlon for a total of 216 episodes.
