The 'Tiny Pretty Things' actor revealed his illness to his followers and assured that the only treatment currently available is to undergo surgery.
The 31-year-old actor Barton Cowperthwaite revealed that he has been diagnosed with stage 2 brain cancer. It was the performer himself, known for his role in the Netflix ballet drama released in 2020 "Tiny Pretty Things," who announced the news last Friday. He did so through a post on his Instagram account in which he reported on his condition, revealing that doctors had diagnosed him with "at least a stage 2 Glioma." The actor reported that this means he has "a fairly decent sized brain tumor":
In fact, the actor went one step further and informed his followers of the treatment he should undergo. As he explained, the only possibility of recovery currently is to undergo "brain surgery." A procedure in which doctors believe they could remove "most of the tumor":

The performer, who participated in the film "Center Stage: On Pointe" (2016) and the miniseries "Fosse / Verdon" (2019), also assured his followers that he would try to keep them up to date with how he was evolving during treatment:
A day later, the actor informed his fans how they had discovered the tumor, which, he clarified, is the "size of a lemon." According to the actor, the diagnosis came after undergoing a number of tests after suffering "several seizures" in the last eight weeks. In addition, he gave thanks for all the affection he had received from people who had written to him after learning of his illness: "Words do not have enough capacity to express my gratitude. I am simply overwhelmed."
