Hispanics don't want to be called 'Latinx'

The Hispanic community does not identify with this woke term and prefers to be referred to as 'Hispanic' or 'American.'

The Hispanic community does not want to be referred to by the term Latinx. A survey conducted by the organization Bienvenido with polling firm WPA Intelligence revealed that only 1% of likely Hispanic voters prefer to be called Latinx (with the letter x replacing the a or o typical of grammatical gendering in Spanish).

The community clearly prefers the term Hispanic. Fifty-six percent chose Hispanic as their preference, followed by 20% who prefer to be called just American and 12% who would like to be referred to as Latino. Further down are the 6% who want to be known by their country of origin and the 5% who prefer by their country of origin with the suffix "American" (e.g., Mexican American). Finishing dead last are the 1% who chose the gender-neutral term Latinx.

Mayra Flores defends her 'Latino' character against the progressive 'Latinx' of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Several progressive representatives wanted to promote the term Latinx as a gender-neutral label to impose their woke agenda. A clear example is that of leftist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who called on Democrats to use this term, pointing out that "gender is fluid and language is fluid."

In light of this fact, Republican Congresswoman Mayra Flores, a Mexican-born Hispanic representing Texas, joked that the Bienvenido and WPA Intelligence poll results show why her favorability rating is higher among Hispanics than that of AOC:

The index shows Flores as the official with the highest favorability rating among Hispanics who know them, ahead of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and well ahead of President Joe Biden, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez herself and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Bienvenido-WPA survey was conducted among 1,288 likely Hispanic voters.

¡Váyanse a la chingadx! (Go f**x yourselves!): Satire against Democrats who want to 'neutralize' the Spanish language

Media strategist Giancarlo Sopo shared a video in which he calls out several members of the Democratic Party, including AOC, for trying to neutralize the Spanish language. The video presents Democrats such as President Joe Biden or Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto as "radicals" who want to "neuter" the Spanish language.

The video says that in the November elections, Hispanics will send a message to the Democrats who call them Latinx: "¡Váyanse a la chingadX!" (Go f**x yourselves!)
