Donald Trump continues his idyll with the Hispanic voter. The president himself echoed the latest Insider Advantage poll in which an overwhelming 60% of Latinos back the Republican's administration.
Hispanics, behind only whites in support for Trump
The poll, released May 19, shows that Hispanics are the second largest racial group in support for the president, only slightly surpassed by whites, with 62.8% approval. However, Trump flunks among "other races" voters (51.8-44.4%) and, especially, among the African-American community (71.2-27.6%).
Latino approval is, moreover, superior to the resulting average among all participants, which is also favorable to the president. According to Insider Advantage, 54.6% approve of Trump's work so far in office versus 44.4% who disapprove.
By gender, support is considerably higher among men (59%), although he also has a strong approval among women (50%).
