Judge Juan Merchan, the investigating judge in the Stormy Daniels case, has scheduled the start of the trial against Donald Trump for March 25, a process in which it will be investigated whether the Republican candidate for the November elections made payments to the adult film actress for her silence. This investigation led to Trump becoming the first president to be indicted on criminal charges.

"At this point, I can inform you that we’re moving ahead to jury selection on March 25," Judge Merchan said during a hearing after rejecting Trump's claims.

The Republican candidate, who is immersed in the electoral campaign, faces 34 crimes of falsification of commercial documents.
