New York Democratic Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit Wednesday against former President Donald Trump, three of his children and the Trump Organization for alleged expansive, decade-long fraud, according to CNN.

In the more than 200-page lawsuit, the plaintiff alleges that Trump's businesses were riddled with fraud and that the Trump Organization allegedly deceived tax officials, lenders and insurers by inflating property values through misleading appraisals.

"These acts of fraud and misrepresentation (...) were committed in every annual return by senior management of the Trump Organization (...). And they were approved at the highest levels of the Trump Organization, including Mr. Trump himself," the lawsuit details.

James is attempting to prove the source of around $250 million in funds that were allegedly fraudulently generated and is seeking to cancel the Trump Organization's corporate certificate to cease their operations in New York.

Former President Trump called the allegations "baseless" and denied any wrongdoing.
