Talarico's 'biblical contradictions' on abortion, exposed

The radical Democrat candidate, known for his loose interpretations of the Bible, always in service of his far-left views, tried to justify his support for abortion using the Holy Book, ignoring the fact that something as fundamental to a Christian as the Ten Commandments already makes his position clear: "Thou shall not kill."

The curious interpretation, always in service of his radical left-wing views, that James Talarico offers of the sacred texts was scandalously exposed by a pro-life voter at a town hall meeting. Judy Hunt called him out on the paradox of presenting himself as a man of faith while defending abortion, reminding him that the Bible says "thou shall not kill" while Talarico claimed that "the Bible is silent" on this matter.

The author of the famous "God Is Nonbinary" once again resorted to empty slogans by claiming that "the Bible is silent on the issue of abortion." His opponent at the CNN Town Hall quickly exposed him, without resorting to deep theological analysis or far-fetched citations. Something as fundamental to a Christian as the Ten Commandments already makes clear the Holy Book's stance on this matter:

"I just want to add that the Bible is not silent on abortion. There is the Ten Commandments: 'Thou shall not kill.' And, as Catholics, we take great insult, I guess sometimes, when it’s described that way."

The Democratic candidate's response regarding the Senate seat for Texas in the upcoming midterms was to try to dodge the issue, but he also addressed the issue from a personal perspective, stating that, for him, abortion is not killing a human being: "If I believed that abortion is murder, that it violates the Ten Commandments, then I wouldn't support it."

What does the Bible say about abortion?

The Bible is unequivocal, in both the Old and New Testaments, regarding where and when human life begins. On several occasions, God speaks to his people of choosing them "from their mother's womb" or, as in the case of Jesus Christ himself, "My Son, today I have begotten you" (Hebrews 1:5).

Here are some quotes that refute the Democratic candidate's two main excuses for supporting abortion, according to the Holy Book:

Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."Psalms 22:9–10: "But you are the one who brought me out of the womb; the one who made me feel secure from the time I was at my mother's breast. I was cast upon you before I was born; from my mother's womb, you have been my God."Psalms 139:13–16: "For you formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I will praise you, for your works are awesome and marvelous; I am in awe, and my soul knows it well. My body was not hidden from you, though I was formed in secret, and woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my embryo, and in your book were written all those things that were later formed, not one of them missing."Isaiah 49:1: "Hear me, you coasts of the sea, and listen, you distant peoples. Yahweh called me from the womb; from my mother's womb he has remembered my name."Isaiah 46:3: "Hear me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, whom I have brought forth from the womb, whom I have carried from the mother's womb."Luke 1:15 (concerning John the Baptist): "…for he will be great in the sight of God. He will drink neither wine nor strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother's womb."Psalm 2:7: "I will proclaim the decree: The Lord has said to me, 'You are my Son; today I have begotten you.'"Matthew 1:20: "…Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit." Hebrews 1:5: "For to which of the angels did God ever say: 'You are my Son; today I have begotten you'?"James 1:18: "He, of his own will, brought us forth (begot us) through the word of truth, so that we might be the firstfruits of his creatures."

Talarico, having been exposed, resorted to pro-abortion clichés

Defeated, he tried to change the subject by resorting to pro-abortion talking points, namely, that the most restrictive laws, such as the one currently in effect in Texas, result in "women dying in emergency room parking lots. Therefore, if we truly defend life, I believe we should be concerned about the consequences of this extreme ban on abortion."

Furthermore, Talarico pointed out that there are "certain policy measures," which do not involve banning abortion procedures or the dispensing of the morning-after pill, that can reduce the number of abortions nationwide. Pro-life advocates have long been proposing such initiatives as a complement to legislation to help women who see no other way out than to terminate their pregnancy due to their social or economic circumstances.

Democratic persecution of pro-life initiatives to help mothers: What Talarico is silencing

For example, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America launched Her PLAN. The organization explains that "every woman deserves real support, not pressure, politics, or empty promises. This is a growing initiative designed to help local communities improve access to the resources a woman needs to follow through on her pro-life decision."

What Talarico failed to mention is that Democratic administrations are targeting pro-life centers that seek to support mothers considering abortion so they can carry their pregnancies to term. Nor did he comment on the activists defending the unborn who have been jailed simply for praying in front of or near an abortion clinic.
