Replica of the iconic orange couch from 'Friends' auctioned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series
Julien's Auctions will also list other memorabilia from the TV sitcom such as clothes worn by some of the characters and a copy of the Central Perk sign.
The 30th anniversary of "Friends" is approaching. For that reason, Julien's Auctions has decided to commemorate this popular show by auctioning off various items from the NBC sitcom.
The crown jewel is a replica of the orange couch that Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, Monica and Joey used to sit on during their daily visits to Central Perk. The couch, which according to Fox Business was part of the replicas created on the set of the fictional show, will go on sale for $3,000.
The sofa will not be the only item up for auction. According to Julien's Auctions, along with the iconic sofa, fans of the sitcom will also be able purchase a replica of the Central Perk sign. They will also be able to get their hands on the "It's not a boy!" poster made by Phoebe to celebrate the birth of Rachel and Ross' daughter Emma, as well as various scripts from the series.
And it won't be the only thing. Fans who loved the style of the six "Friends" stars will be able to bid on some of the clothing worn by Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and the late Matthew Perry.
NBC Los Angeles revealed that people who want to can also bid on some of the many of Joey's striped shirts, a knit top worn by Monica and one of several trendy coats worn by Phoebe.
The same will happen with some of the clothes worn by guest stars such as Susan Sarandon, Bruce Willis, Dakota Fanning, Morgan Fairchild, James Michael Tyler, Christina Applegate, Aisha Tyler, Anna Faris, Winona Ryder and Paul Rudd that will also be part of the auction of up to 110 items that appeared in the series.
