Netflix to open a restaurant with food dedicated to its shows
The facility will open its doors next Friday, June 30, in Los Angeles. Called Netflix Bites, its menu will include dishes based on series such as Bridgerton, Stranger Things and Money Heist.
Netflix has decided to diversify its business model by opening up to the food world, but without forgetting its bread and butter: its shows and movies. For this reason, the streaming platform has decided to open Netflix Bites.
It is a restaurant located in Los Angeles where diners can enjoy dishes based on their best-known shows such as "Bridgerton," "Stranger Things" or even Spanish show "La Casa de Papel" (translated in English as "Money Heist"):
What will Netflix Bites be like?
Its opening date is scheduled for Friday, June 30. It will be located, on a temporary basis, at the Short Stories Hotel Los Angeles, 115 S Fairfax Avenue. The dishes will not be the only highlight of this new experience offered by the platform, but they will also feature chefs who star in some of their reality shows, such as Curtis Stone, from "Chef's Table" or Dominique Creen from "Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend."
The restaurant will serve signature cocktails made by some of the talent that collaborates with the platform. Bartenders Frankie Solarik, Julie Reiner, LP O'Brien and Kate Gerwin from "Drink Master" will be in charge of making the drinks.
This new business expands on the culinary offerings that the platform has provided for years on the screen. Now, they will do it in a different way, as Netflix Vice President of Consumer Products Josh Simon assured in a press release:
