The guitarist was forced to stop his performance after feeling unwell.
Concern for Carlos Santana's health condition, after he suffered a fainting spell in the middle of a concert. The guitarist was forced to stop his performance after feeling unwell. He was holding a concert in Michigan (at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston) when he began to feel the effects of the heat.
Forty minutes into the show, he had to lean against the side of the stage because he began to feel dizzy. Members of his team came to his rescue and stopped the show. Santana was taken away on a stretcher, which increased the concern of the audience, which filled the auditorium. The health authorities who assisted him have determined that his fainting was due to heat exhaustion and dehydration, and have recommended rest. Santana was scheduled to perform this July 6 in Burgettstown (at The Pavilion at Star Lake), but due to medical advice this show will be postponed to a later date, but no date has been specified.
