Wall Street falls at its opening after Trump's new tariff threats
In early trading, the Dow Jones lost 1.15%, the Nasdaq index fell 1.6% and the broader S&P 500 index dropped 1.19%. Apple, meanwhile, fell by 2.6%.

The New York Stock Exchange opened lower on Friday, weighed down by new threats from Donald Trump, who proposed imposing tariffs of 50% on imported products from the European Union (E.U.) and a minimum surcharge of 25% on Apple products.
In early trading, the Dow Jones lost 1.15%, the Nasdaq index fell 1.6% and the broader S&P 500 index dropped 1.19%. Apple, meanwhile, fell 2.6%.
