The Tiburones de La Guaira from Venezuela beat the Tigres del Licey from the Dominican Republic 3-0 Friday to be crowned champions of the 2024 Caribbean Series.
La Guaira wins its first title in the tournament that features the champions from the winter leagues of Latin America and the Caribbean. It is the eighth championship for Venezuela. This year's edition was notable for being Nicaragua's debut as well as the tournament's return to Miami after 30 years. It was also the first time the Caribbean Series was played in a Major League stadium: the Miami Marlins' LoanDepot Park.
