Turkish legislator dies after suffering a heart attack during a speech demanding 'the wrath of Allah' against Israel

Hasan Bitmez suffered cardiac arrest on the podium of the Turkish Assembly. According to Turkey's health minister, "He could not be saved, despite all the interventions carried out in the intensive care unit of Ankara Hospital."

Turkish Islamist Deputy Hasan Bitmez died Thursday in an Ankara hospital after suffering a heart attack on the podium of his country's Assembly. Bitmez suffered a heart attack while giving a speech against the support that Turkey has given to Israel in the war unleashed by Hamas terrorists.

The 53-year-old MP collapsed while finishing the speech, in which he criticized President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's stance towards Israel. Just before collapsing, he concluded his speech with these words:

Even if you escape the torments of history, you cannot save yourself from the wrath of Allah.

According to Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, Bitmez could not be saved despite being taken to hospital and remaining in intensive care:

On Tuesday, Dec. 12, during his speech at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the vice president of the Saadet Party, Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez, fell ill during his speech. Hasan Bitmez could not be saved despite all the interventions carried out in the intensive care unit of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment, and died at 11:50 a.m. today. I wish God's mercy to our deputy, condolences and patience to his family, the Saadet Party and all his loved ones. May your place be heaven.

Erdogan's position has always been very clear. Since the beginning of the Hamas attack on the population of Israel, the Turkish president condemned the group's "terrorist" acts.
