Israel denounces that Hamas planned to build chemical weapons

The Israeli president assured that the terrorists intended to use prohibited weapons, such as cyanide, to attack the civilian population.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Sunday that Israeli forces found evidence that Hamas intended to manufacture chemical weapons to use against the Israeli population.

Herzog explained that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) found, on the body of a dead terrorist, a USB with instructions to build a "cyanide dispersion device."

During an interview with Sky News, the president showed a document that read "Al Qaeda" and assured that it was "official Al Qaeda material." "We're dealing with Isis, Al-Qaeda and Hamas."

The production and use of chemical weapons is prohibited by the 1925 Geneva Protocol and the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention.
