At least 5 dead in shooting in San Jacinto County (Texas)

Police are searching for the shooter who killed at least five people, including a minor, Sunday in San Jacinto County, Texas.

Five people have been shot to death at a home in southeast Texas, authorities say. The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office reported that four people were pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting and the fifth died at a hospital.

The suspect, of Mexican origin, was reportedly armed with an AR-15, according to statements from the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office as reported by ABC News. In addition, he would be under the influence of toxic substances.

Local authorities described the alleged shooter: he would be 5'8" and wearing blue jeans with a black t-shirt and work boots. He has short black hair.

In addition, the same sources reported that the crime occurred around 11:31 pm this Friday, when officers received an alert call. At least 10 people were in the house when law enforcement arrived, all between the ages of 8 and 40.
