A former Air Force intelligence officer claimed under oath in Congress that the U.S. government has been running a secret program for "several decades" that retrieves unidentified flying objects and reverse engineers them.
Retired Major David Grusch appeared Wednesday before the House subcommittee investigating unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) or unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
At the hearing, the former officer recounted that in 2019 he was asked to identify all highly classified programs related to UAPs and that at the time, he was assigned to the National Reconnaissance Office, the agency that operates U.S. spy satellites.
"I was informed in the course of my official duties of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program to which I was denied access," he revealed.
Grusch also reported that he had spoken to officials who had direct knowledge of craft with "non-human" origins and that some beings referred to as "biological" have even been recovered.

Ryan Graves also came to the hearing and recounted that his squadron began detecting UFOs when he was an F-18 pilot stationed at Virginia Beach in 2014. According to the pilot, they were similar to "dark grey or black cubes … inside of a clear sphere, where the apex or tips of the cubes were touching the inside of that sphere."
Graves insisted on the importance of putting aside stigmas and addressing this issue as a major national security problem. "If UAP are foreign drones, it is an urgent national security problem. If it is something else, it is an issue for science. In either case, unidentified objects are a concern for flight safety. The American people deserve to know what is happening in our skies. It is long overdue," he said.
