Who will win Super Bowl LVII? A famous simulator gives its prediction

EA's Madden NFL 23 video game predicted the Eagles to be the Super Bowl LVII champions, defeating the Chiefs 31-17.

One of the most anticipated sporting events of the year is right around the corner. Super Bowl LVII, to be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., will pit the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles. The question on everyone's mind is: who will be the champion?

Everyone will surely have their own prediction, including the author of this article, although that will not be revealed to you. Electronic Arts (EA), known for developing the most famous sports video games on the planet, decided to do so on Madden NFL 23. By simulating a game between the two teams, it gave its prediction for Sunday's game.

According to Madden, the Eagles will beat the Chiefs 31-17 to win the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy. In addition, the Eagles' quarterback, Jalen Hurts, will be the game's Most Valuable Player (MVP), scoring three touchdowns.

Accurate predictor of the Super Bowl

EA has been making its prediction since Super Bowl XXXVIII. That is 19 years, not counting this one. Of the total, it accurately predicted the winning team 11 times, a 58% accuracy rate.

While it predicts the winners most of the time, it has not been as accurate with the score. On only one occasion, Super Bowl XLIX (New England Patriots 28, Seattle Seahawks 24), did Madden correctly predict not only the winner, but the exact final score.
