Twitter blocks Kanye West's account for anti-Semitic message

The rapper returned to the social network after a two year absence and after being suspended from Instagram.

This Sunday, Twitter blocked U.S. rapper Kanye West's account, who had just returned to the social network after a two year absence, after a post was described as anti-Semitic.

The social network confirmed blocking West on the grounds that one of his tweets violated the platform's policies. In his message, the rapper accused the Jewish community of playing games with him and pressuring to exclude anyone who criticizes his actions.

I'm a little sleepy tonight, but when I wake up I'm going to death con 3 on Jewish people. The funny thing is that I actually can't be anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jew also. You have have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.

The artist now known as Ye had not tweeted since November 2020 and had returned this weekend to the social network after also being suspended from Instagram last Friday after suggesting that rapper Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, was being controlled by Jews who were attempting to silence his White Lives Matter message.

After his suspension, the rapper posted this message, mentioning Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, the parent company of Instagram.

Kanye West's Twitter account is operational again although the tweet that prompted the block was deleted. It is also now possible to access the rapper's Instagram account.
