Donald Trump was quick to respond to the State of the Union address Joe Biden gave on Tuesday. In a pre-recorded video, the former president made references to illegal immigration, inflation and drug cartels, three of the issues that the current leader of the Federal Administration mentioned in his speech before Congress. He didn't spend too much time on them, though.
Donald Trump began the two-minute video, which starts with these words, "Here's the real State of the Union." With these words he seems to suggest that he is the real president of the United States, or should be. Donald Trump continues his stance that irregularities in the past presidential election twisted the outcome and placed Joe Biden in the White House.
He then went on to refer to what, for him, are the most pressing problems facing the nation at this time: immigration, drug cartels and the high homicide rate. All of them, he said, have risen since the Biden Administration came to the White House:
Over the past two years under Biden, millions and millions of illegal aliens from 160 different countries have stormed across our Southern border. Drug cartels are now raking in billions of dollars from smuggling poison to kill our people and to kill our children. Savage killers, rapists and violent criminals are being released from jail to continue their crime wave and under Biden the murder rate has reached the highest in the history of our country.
The worst inflation in the last 50 years
The former president also made reference to the current economic situation. According to him, the data is only getting worse. The United States is now suffering its worst rate of inflation in over 50 years. This is having direct consequences on the ordinary population, who are seeing the prices of basic services continue to rise unabated. This directly affects their way of life:
Biden and the radical Democrats have wasted trillions of dollars and caused the worst inflation in half a century. Real wages are down 21 months in a row. Gas prices have soared and are now going up much higher than even before and the typical American family is paying $2,200 in increased energy and food costs each year.
Trump claims Biden is "leading us to the brink of World War III"
Trump also alluded to the constant persecution that, according to him, he lives under everyday, because of the Department of Justice. A harassment to which not only he is subjected to, but all of Biden's political rivals, whom he described as "the most corrupt president in American history:"
Joe Biden's weaponized Justice Department, and I'm a victim of it, is persecuting his political opponents. His administration is waging war on free speech. They're trying to indoctrinate and mutilate our children. He's leading us to the brink of World War III. And on top of all of that, he's the most corrupt president in American history, and it's not even close.
Problems he wants to solve: "I am running for President to end the destruction of our country and to complete the unfinished business of Making America Great Again." A goal he hopes to achieve if, in 2024, he wins the presidential election and thus returns to the White House.
