Trump family bids final farewell to "brilliant" Ivana

The former president extolled her as a "wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman, who led a great and inspiring life".

The Trump family went to St. Vincent Ferrer Church in New York on Wednesday to say their last goodbye to Ivana Trump, ex-wife of former President Donald Trump who died on the 14th at her home in the Big Apple, after suffering a domestic accident (a fall).

She was a "wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman, who led a great and inspiring life", Donald Trump praised her on the Truth Social network. Ivanka Trump, for her part, tweeted that her mother was "brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny." "I will always remember her and will keep her memory alive in our hearts."

Ivana Marie Zelníčková (Zlin, Czechoslovakia, 1949) became Ivana Trump after marrying the New York magnate (1977), to whom she gave three children: Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. The couple divorced in 1992, after Donald Trump's affair with model Marla Maples became public.

As a result of the divorce settlement, Ivana received $25 million, the family mansion in Connecticut, $5.3 million a year in alimony and 49% of the Mar-a-Lago resort, one of her ex-husband's favorite places.

Ivana, who subsequently married on two other occasions (to which we should add a fourth marriage, which she contracted before marrying Donald), maintained a good relationship with her first husband, to the point that they starred together in a Pizza Hut advertisement in 1998.
