Trump denounces he will be arrested Tuesday and calls for protests

The former president lashed out against District Attorney Bragg and criticized him for accepting money from George Soros.

Donald Trump wrote an explosive post on his Truth Social account announcing that he will be arrested next Tuesday. The former president called on his supporters to organize protests and take back the nation. In the post, he also harshly attacked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who he accuses of accepting money from George Soros, for using "an old and fully debunked fairy tale" to get him behind bars.

Bragg is investigating the allegation by Stormy Daniels, an adult movie star who claimed that she had an affair with Trump in 2016. According to Daniels, Trump paid her $130,000 in exchange for her silence during his 2016 presidential campaign. Trump has always denied the alleged infidelity.

"An old and fully debunked fairy tale"

In his post, Trump lashes out at Alvin Bragg, head of what the former president calls the "corrupt and highly political Manhattan district attorneys office." Trump said that Bragg "has allowed new records to be set in violent crime" and criticized him for accepting money from George Soros. The former president claims that his arrest would take place "without no crime being able to be proven and based on an old and fully debunked (by numerous other prosecutors!) fairy tale."

Trump, who describes himself in the post as "the far and away leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States of America," called on his supporters to organize protests against his possible imprisonment and encouraged them to take back the nation.
