Former President Donald Trump took a few minutes to greet and congratulate the elected president of Argentina, libertarian Javier Milei, for his historic and resounding victory in the South American country against Peronist Sergio Massa by more than ten points.
"Congratulations to Javier Milei on a great race for President of Argentina. The whole world was watching! I am very proud of you. You will turn your Country around and truly Make Argentina Great Again!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.

One of Trump's allies, strategist Roger Stone, also congratulated Milei on his great electoral victory with a message written in Spanish on X.
"@JMilei is president of Argentina. The forces come from Heaven and Freedom Advances. The same thing will happen in the US in 2024," Stone wrote.
.@JMilei es Presidente 🇦🇷
Las fuerzas provienen del Cielo y la Libertad avanza.
Lo mismo sucederá en EE. UU. en 2024

Milei, a libertarian candidate who began his political career three years ago, became president with an anti-leftist speech and against massive government intervention in Argentina. His government program has proposals such as reducing the tax burden, reducing public spending by eliminating ministries, eliminating interventionist measures such as price controls and also one of his most debated measures: the dollarization of the currency.
Milei's victory, in a country that in recent years had turned noticeably towards the left and progressivism, is a change of paradigms and a message for the region that outsiders are managing to agglomerate the popular vote with a conservative or more right-wing economic and social discourse.
