Texas teacher suspended for encouraging students to whitewash pedophilia

The educator at an El Paso high school asked them not to judge people "just because they want to have sex with a 5-year-old."

Franklin High School in El Paso, Texas, suspended one of its English teachers, Amber Parker, from employment for whitewashing pedophilia and encouraging her students to label pedophiles as "minor-attracted persons (MAPs)." The students refused to do so and recorded the words of the teacher, who invited them to "not judge people just because they want to have sex with a 5-year-old."

According to NBC, Amber Parker is facing possible dismissal due to the severity of her words after the school board voted unanimously to fire her. Following Parker's appeal, the teacher was suspended from employment, but not her salary, pending the conclusion of the investigation.

"We're not going to put up with BS like that in our schools."

Texas Governor Greg Abbott reacted to the intolerable event at Franklin High School in El Paso:

Texas teacher on administrative leave after telling students to call pedophiles "minor-attracted persons." Reportedly, said "don't judge people just because they want to have sex with a 5-year-old." We aren't putting up with BS like that in our schools.

A therapist who claimed to be employed by the Pennsylvania government equated pedophilia with being "hetero or gay" because "you don't choose" either of these options. Miranda Galbreath asked not to call those she considers "people with child attraction" pedophiles. The therapist is asking people to use the term 'MAP' (minor attracted persons) to avoid using the term 'pedophile', which she considers "a painful insult" for those who are sexually attracted to children.
