Texas: Border Patrol opens gate closed by National Guard to allow illegals through

Abbott vs. Biden: While state authorities try to reinforce the border, the federal administration paves the way for the migratory avalanche.

Border Patrol agents on Wednesday opened a border entry gate that had previously been closed by the Texas National Guard. Fox News witnessed a group of illegal immigrants waiting for agents to open the gate for them to cross over into the country.

Fox News' reporter Bill Melugin's information showed about 200 illegals arriving at the border. Texas National Guard agents closed the gate, which is located on private property, to prevent passage. The immigrants remained waiting until Border Patrol agents appeared with a key and opened the door. In doing so, illegals were able to enter the country and be processed in the U.S. immigration system.

Texas speaks of "invasion" and federal government opens doors to illegals

The images show the difference in approach to immigration that exists between the federal administration and the states experiencing these waves of immigrants. While in Texas they called the situation an "invasion "and asked for help from the Biden Administration; this one opens the doors to illegals. For Senator Ted Cruz, it "sums up" Biden's border policy.

The state of Texas has ramped up border enforcement through Operation Lone Star, which includes the return of immigrants who cross the border. Others are still being returned under programs such as 'Quédate en México.' However, Border Patrol agents - such as those seen in the video - seem to focus on processing illegals inside the country. Therefore, the immigrants do not try to escape from the agents but rather seek them out so that they can be processed and released quickly from within the country.

Texas Governor Greg Abbot decided to send the illegals to cities like New York or Washington D.C., provoking anger among Democratic mayors, who prefer that immigrants remain in the southern state. Meanwhile, immigration numbers continue to be unstoppable. Last July alone, almost 200,000 'encounters' with illegals were recorded at the southern border.
