Soros-backed DA candidate in Florida supports groups that want to eliminate all prisons

Julie Gunnigle also supports an association that advocates "black solidarity" and believes that "whiteness proves toxic even with the best intentions."

Julie Gunnigle, candidate for district attorney of Maricopa County, supports several organizations that advocate eliminating prisons, promote "black solidarity" and denounce "white aggression." Gunnigle is backed by investment tycoon George Soros

One of these groups is Mass Liberation AZ, which, according to its website, believes "that all prisons, detention centers and jails should be abolished." Gunnigle stated that the group brings a "valuable voice" to the implementation of criminal justice reform: "I have established relationships with community organizations and am in conversations with people from Mass Liberation because I think they bring a valuable voice.... I can't say enough good things about them."

The association values "black solidarity" and denounces the "fragility and aggression" of whites, which it claims exist in the world to uphold a system of white supremacy. A guide from the organization argues that "whiteness shows up as toxic even with the best of intentions."

The organization also hosts, along with Planned Parenthood, a program titled Do Black Lives Matter to White Women?, which "was specifically designed to appeal to white women because of their unique role in perpetuating white supremacy."

White Women need to show up now and support the movement for Black liberation. Join us to unlearn toxic whiteness.

In September, the candidate highlighted the organization for "making it possible" for her candidacy to appear on the ballot:

"A world without prisons and jails"

Mass Liberation is just one of the progressive extremist organizations that Gunnigle praises and endorses.

Just Communities Arizona, formerly the American Friends Service Committee, explains on its website that it is "an abolitionist organization," and that it "envision[s] a world without prisons and jails."

At a conference on criminal justice, the candidate stated that she will "continue to support the American Friends Service Committee," referring to the organization as "extremely thoughtful."

Gunnigle explained that this group has a plan to "evaluate the criminals that would be released next year to see whether the early release is an option." She also stated that the plan "involves her county prosecutor being a real advocate for compassionate releases," something she is working toward in her campaign.

Breitbart News previously revealed that the candidate wants to stop the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants and has stated that prosecutors should take offenders' immigration status into account before handing out sentences.

She also supports sanctuary city immigration policies and has close ties to organizations - also backed by Soros - that advocate amnesty for criminals, open the country's borders to illegal immigration, and seek to eliminate Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
