Rachel Levine advocates for the normalization of sex change operations on children

The Assistant Secretary for Transgender Health stated that gender affirming care for minors has the "strongest support" from the Biden Administration.

Deputy Secretary of Health Rachel Levine assured that gender-affirming care for minors has the Biden Administration's "strongest support" and promised that sex change for children will soon be normalized, according to Fox News:

I am a positive, optimistic person, and I choose to be positive, optimistic. And I think the wheels will turn on this. I think it's not going to be politically advantageous. It was not particularly so in 2022. But I am positive and optimistic and hopeful that the wheel will turn after that and that this issue will not be a political and social minefield.

Levine made these statements in reference to measures imposed in several states across the country that prohibit or limit sex change procedures for minors.

Biden Administration supports sex change in children

The undersecretary showed his support for the "gender-affirming care" at an event at Connecticut Children's Medical Center where the effects of Florida's Parental Rights in Education Act and the policy implications of sex reassignment surgery on children were discussed.

His statements come just a few days after President Joe Biden described as "shameful" and cruel the bill pushed by Florida's Republican congressmen that seeks to prohibit medical centers from freely performing sex change treatments and surgeries on minors throughout the state:

My mom would say that what is happening in Florida is embarrassing to say the least. What they are doing is simply terrible. It's not like a child waking up one day and saying 'You know what? I've decided to become a man or a woman,' They are human beings. They have feelings. They have emotions, it seems cruel to me.

"No evidence" that children changing sex improves mental health

Do No Harm doctor Stanley Goldfarb commented to Fox News that Levine's statement about gender affirmation "is incorrect and should be countered." He further stated that "there is no strong evidence that children treated with gender-altering hormones or puberty blockers have improved in their mental health assessments."

Levine's appearance at Connecticut Children's Hospital praising 'gender affirming care' for minors and claiming it will be fully accepted is incorrect and should be countered

Goldfarb noted that the "radical and ideologically motivated treatments can cause irreparable harm to children" and reaffirmed that sex change treatments for minors "must be based on rigorous scientific research, not dubious, agenda-driven studies or the demands of activists."

Despite claims to the contrary, a recent University of Washington study showed that there was absolutely no change in the psychological well-being of children with gender dysphoria treated with these medications. Those pushing for these radical and ideologically motivated treatments may cause irreparable harm to children.
