Puerto Rican salsa artist Lalo Rodríguez dies at 64

The Puerto Rican known for his hit song "Ven, devórame otra vez" was found dead Tuesday in his hometown of Carolina, Puerto Rico.

Police responded to an emergency call in a building located in the residential neighborhood of Sabana Abajo, where a forensic team identified the singer's body. Authorities have not yet reported the cause of death, although they have ruled out any violence. They are still awaiting an autopsy of the body and other necessary tests.

According to Telemundo Puerto Rico, the body was found in the parking lot of the building. The report also stated that the artist already had health problems and had been hospitalized in November after being found in a "catatonic state."

Lalo Rodríguez, whose original name is Ubaldo Rodríguez Sánchez, had a musical career that spanned almost half a century. He wrote and recorded many hit songs, including "Ven, devórame otra vez," "Pero llegaste tú" ("But You Arrived") and "Nada de ti" ("Nothing from you").
