A political action committee (PAC) supporting Ron DeSantis to run for president offered to pay for Donald Trump's move to California after the former president criticized the governor's leadership and claimed that Florida is "one of the worst" states in the country.
The executive director of the Never Back Down Committee, Chris Jankowski, wrote a statement criticizing the former president for the political attacks he launched against Florida and its governor. "Donald Trump has so deeply disparaged the state of Florida by calling it the ‘worst state,’ we at Never Back Down will help him leave," he said.
Jankowski stated that his committee is willing to give Trump financial assistance so that he can move to his "beloved California" and be close to "his good buddy Gavin Newsom, whom he loves so intensely and gets along with so well," he commented, referring to the former president's recent praise of California's far-left governor for being "very nice" to him during his presidency.

During the statement, Jankowski hinted that unlike what Trump says, Americans do like the policy decisions Ron DeSantis has made for Florida and that this is precisely why so many people are moving to the state. "The good news is that since so many people are moving to the state of Florida, thanks to the incredible success of Governor Ron DeSantis, no one will notice when Trump leaves," he said.
Statements against DeSantis
The former president and his team issued a statement last Friday stating that Florida had become one of the "worst states" to live in since DeSantis became governor.

"The real DeSantis record is one of misery and despair. He has left a wake of destruction all across Florida and people are hurting because he has spent more time playing public relations games instead of actually doing the hard-work needed to improve the lives of the people he represents," states a portion of the press release which covers various aspects of the state's rankings such as taxes, rent, security, economic opportunities, among others.
