Ozzy Osbourne leaves Los Angeles and returns to the U.K. due to criminality

"Everything’s fucking ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings," the singer says.

Ozzy Osbourne returns to his country. This was confirmed in an interview for the newspaper The Guardian in which the Black Sabbath singer argued his decision to flee Los Angeles and return to the United Kingdom because of the criminality that occurs with fire arms in the United States.

Everything’s fucking ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert … It’s fucking crazy.

The artist's wife, Sharon Osbourne, participated in the same interview and assured that her return is not due to her husband' s Parkinson's disease.

I knew people would think that. It’s not. It’s just time.

In this way, the British celebrity contradicted all those who pointed to Ozzy Osbourne's illness as the main reason for the comeback and took a position on the current situation in the country.

America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now.

Next February is the month chosen by the family for their return to the United Kingdom, to their home in Buckinghamshire, but not before selling their Los Angeles mansion.

Crime in Los Angeles

According to a report by Gun Violence Archive, during 2022 (as of August 28) in California there were 48 deaths and 118 injuries from gun attacks. In Los Angeles County, there are 16 fatalities, plus 35 people who were injured in similar circumstances.

During 2021, the FBI reported 61 active shooter incidents (12 qualified as "mass murders"), of which 6 occurred in California, leading records nationwide. The attacks in the Californian state left 16 people dead and at least 9 wounded.

Illegal racing and drugs

But it is not only crime that 'lives' off firearms in Los Angeles. In recent times, illegal racing has increased in the city streets. The youngsters cut through traffic to improvise a racing circuit, where they perform dangerous stunts, exceed permitted speeds or burn tires.

Authorities count up to a total of three illegal races per day in Los Angeles, which have already resulted in six deaths and correspond to an "absence of law" as defined by California Highway Patrol Lieutenant Joseph Zagorski.

Another criminal offense that is common in the city of Los Angeles is drug use. The Starbucks chain was forced to close 16 establishments in the country (6 in Los Angeles) for this practice on the premises.

Police with fewer resources

The 16 locations that Starbucks had to close are situated in cities where the mayor's office belongs to the Democratic Party (Seattle, Portland, Philadelphia, Washington and Los Angeles). 5 cases in which political authorities are unable to control crime or favor it with their progressive policies.

One of the measures taken by the mayors to combat crime is not without controversy: the de-funding of the police. An example of this policy is Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who announced a $150 million cut in the Police budget following the death of George Floyd.
